My Fav Pic Of All Time

This is Ali at about 6 or 7 weeks old, this was one of the first pics I took of her. One from a litter of 7, 4 of the puppies died, her mum became sick with mastitis, which causes the mothers milk to poison the puppies. 2 females and a male survived. I was lucky enough to get what I wanted, a female, I think female dogs are nicer.

I found out later that one of the other two survivors is no longer alive, I heard that the owner, by accident, rolled over the puppy with their car. As for the other one I am unsure of how they are doing!

You might think Ali is the lucky one, well, she is in a way cos she gets all the love and more. As mentioned yesterday she rules the roost in my parents house, but it's not all plain sailing I'm afraid. I was lucky enough to insure Ali, and by God it's worth every penny. Ali has a skin condition which means she is on special dry food, which costs a fortune, about 5 times the price of normal dry food. She takes an Evening Primrose Oil tablet daily to help keep her skin and coat silky smooth. Ali suffers a little from Alopecia which is medical description of the loss of hair from the head or body, she gets patches of hairloss down her lower ribs, but it's not complete hairloss, besides her skin is black-ish so it doesn't look too bad.

Ali has the best personality of any living thing I have encountered, and that includes all the humans I know too! She's fun to be around and will always make me smile. I miss her not living with me. I am defo getting another Boxer, when I'm "allowed" keep a dog at home, ie. when my missus makes lots of money in Accounting and I can retire and mind the kids that hopefully we have by then, (next 5 years with a bit of luck!!!)

My Baby

This is my dog, her name is Ali, she's a Brindle Boxer. She loves to pose for the camera. She's 6 in May. This is my 2nd fav pic of her. I'll post my fav one tomorrow.

Ali rules the roost, well my parents house anyway. She lives with my parents and has my mum and dad wrapped around her baby claw.

She moves my dad off his chair in the living room. She'll just stand infront of him and stare at him until he either makes room for her or he gets up. He's not half up and she's making herself comfortable in the warmth he left.

She likes talking, she says Mum a lot, in the way only a "moaning" Boxer can. Those who know of Boxers know what I mean. She tells my mum when it's dinner time, nearly always 5.05pm, but she won't eat it until my dad comes in, even if that's not until 5.30.

If ever there was a case for Cesar Millan to visit Cork to sort a dog out, here it is.

Walk in Woods

My mad hatter of a Fiancée is thinking of opening her own business as a side line to make a bit more money. So for design ideas and such I was dragged to the local woods yesterday to take pictures. She has this great idea for a design for one of the items she will be selling and so wanted to take pictures of trees using my camera .

I went along and dragged her to a tree with Initials carved into it. The initials being that of my brother, we grew up VERY close to the woods. He carved the initials in the tree in 1994, and as you can see, very strangely the letters "grew out" from the tree.
